It was an ordinary Friday night. Steven took a quick shower and drinks his milk. His mother read his favorite bed time story and kissed him goodnight. That night was different, because he can’t fall asleep. He decided to go downstairs to drink some water and watch his favorite show. It was already midnight, when he heard something from the second floor. Steven tiptoed upstairs quietly so no one can hear him. He heard whispering voices from that floor. He just can’t figure out where it is exactly coming from. He heard footsteps that are trying to walk carefully. He heard the noise again while he was climbing the stairs. At the top was a hallway, extending in both directions were his room, his parents’ room and small library were located. He was a little scared because it sounded like a mysterious thing is happening. His parents’ won’t do that kind of noise. He continued walking and investigating quietly. The corridor was dark except for a pinpoint of light emitting from a keyhole of his room. He slowly opened the door, and there were his Mom and Dad holding a birthday cake with a birthday candle, singing a birthday song for him. He almost forgot that it is his birthday!
